Kryeministri në detyrë i Republikës së Kosovës, Albin Kurti përcolli mesazhin e tij ngushëllues në librin elektronik të ngushëllimeve të Ambasadës së Italisë në Kosovë.
Në mesazhin e tij, kryeministri shkruan se Papa Françesku do të mbahet mend si një udhëheqës i përulur, i mbushur me dashuri, dhembshuri dhe humanizëm social, dhe se ai e udhëhoqi Kishën Katolike me një zemër të hapur, me fjalë paqeje dhe vepra drejtësie dhe përkujdesjeje për të varfrit dhe të margjinalizuarit.
“Në këtë kohë zie, ju shpreh ngushëllimet e mia të sinqerta dhe bashkohem në lutje me të gjithë komunitetin katolik të Kosovës, i cili ka qenë gjithmonë një shembull i besimit të qëndrueshëm dhe përkushtimit shpirtëror. Zoti e bekoftë Papa Françeskun dhe kujtimi i tij qoftë një burim frymëzimi i përjetshëm për të gjithë ne”, shkroi më tej kryeministri Kurti.

With great sadness I learned of the passing of the Holy Father Pope Francis just a day after Easter Sunday — the day of resurrection and hope for the entire Christian world.
Pope Francis will be remembered as a humble shepherd, animated by love, compassion, and social humanism. He led the Catholic Church with an open heart, with words of peace, and with acts of justice and solicitude for the poor and marginalized.
At this time of mourning, I express to you my sincere sympathies, and I unite in prayer with the entire Catholic community of Kosova, which has always been a paragon of enduring faith and spiritual dedication.
May God bless Pope Francis, and may his memory be a source of everlasting inspiration for us all.
